You will want to keep your lenses when you upgrade your body and that means that if you want to change from say canon to nikon later its going to be quite and expensive ordeal as you will have to buy a whole bunch of new lenses and adaptors etc.Īnywho, my recommendation, if you havent made a decision yet, would be nikon or even sony (Sony is making a lot of commotion at the moment in the mirrorless SLR department). Just remember that if you pick one over the other you are essentially investing in that brand. frustrating and can mostly seem very off putting to new SLR owners but once you get used to it your fly through all the functions. the specs won't tell you how logical a certain layout is, or how "no nonsense" the lenses are. i have shot Nikon for around 15 years, but when i looked at Canon and tried to use their controls and menus, i sold all my Nikon stuff. Why would you say Canon? The Nikon has much better specs on paper. Canon (though not model-specific), especially if there's a magic lantern that is available for it (it's a firmware variant)
